Riein (Romansh pronunciation: [ʁiˈjɛjn] ⓘ) is a village and a former municipality in the district of Surselva in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland.
Of the rest of the land, 0.9% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (39.9%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).
Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks Romansh(63.4%), with German being second most common (35.2%) and Italian being third ( 1.4%).
