Robert Begg

Robert William Begg, OC (December 27, 1914 – March 2, 1982) was a Canadian physician, cancer researcher, and President of the University of Saskatchewan.

Born in Florenceville, New Brunswick, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of King's College in 1936.

He received a Master of Science degree in 1938 and a Doctor of Medicine in 1942 from Dalhousie University.

During World War II, he served with the Canadian Army Medical Corps.

In 1976, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada "for his distinguished career in education and for his contributions to cancer research".
