Robert F. Sternitzky (August 25, 1891 - May 1980)[1] was a United States lepidopterist and illustrator.
[6] He painted a plate depicting seventeen larvae and pupae, in color, for John Adams Comstock's Butterflies of California.
[7] In April 1948 he notified the Lepidopterists' Society of a change of address, to Laytonville, Mendocino County.
[8] The same issue carried his advertisement, both for specimens sold commercially, and his services as an illustrator for museums.
[12] Claude Lemaire et al. have questioned the accuracy of some of the locations on Sternitzky's specimen labels.
