Robert Scott (1705 – 27 December 1780) of Dunninald in Forfarshire was a Scottish politician who sat in the House of Commons briefly from 1733 to 1734.
Scott was the second son of Patrick Scott of Rossie, Dunninald and Usan and his wife Margaret Hope, daughter of Sir Archibald Hope of Rankeillour, Fife, Lord of session (Lord Rankeillour).
At the 1734 British general election he was defeated by Thomas Lyon (later Earl of Strathmore).
When Lyon succeeded to the peerage in 1735, Scott was defeated again at the subsequent by-election.
