[1] Faria graduated in Law from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte.
On his own initiative, he embraced a political career in the Agreste region, from where his family originates.
In recent years, Robinson presided over debates on Agribusiness, Shrimp and Fruit Crops; the installation of an oil refinery; the construction of the São Gonçalo do Amarante International Airport and the General Law of micro and small businesses.
[2] He was elected vice governor in 2010 as Rosalba Ciarlini's running mate, with 52.46% of the votes.
[3] Faria was elected governor in 2014 with 54.42% of the votes against 45.58% for his main opponent, Henrique Eduardo Alves.
