Rockdale is a village in Will County, Illinois, United States which had a population of 1,976 during the 2010 census.

[2] It is immediately south of the city of Joliet, and is about 36 miles (58 km) southwest of Chicago.

According to the 2010 census, Rockdale has a total area of 0.79 square miles (2.05 km2), all land.

EMS is provided by Daley's Ambulance, and law enforcement by Rockdale Police.
