Roel Campos

from Harvard Law School in 1979, his M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1972, and in 1971 earned his B.S.

[5] In 2002, Roel was appointed for the first of two times by President George W. Bush, and confirmed by the US Senate to be Commissioner of the SEC.

[6] Campos was named to then President-elect Barack Obama's economic advisory board, and was considered a possible successor to former SEC chairman Christopher Cox.

He is a current member of the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation, an independent and nonpartisan 501(c)(3) research organization.

[7] In 2008, Campos was appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Valuation Standards Council, and in December 2011 as interim Chairman.
