Roger Eli

[3] Eli is best known for his time at Burnley where he was a key player for the Clarets in the Fourth Division Championship winning side of the 1991–1992 season.

[4] During the 1990 to 1991 season Eli made only 15 starts but scored 10 goals as Burnley reached the Fourth Division Play-offs but missed out on promotion.

During the 1991 to 1992 season Eli scored 17 goals, in league and cup competitions, and became a vital part of the Burnley team which won the fourth division title.

Eli was known for his commitment and high work rate and the chant of 'Eli-Eli-Eli-Eli' was a regular one at Turf Moor as he turned in some top performances.

He was eventually released in 1994 and moved to Scunthorpe where he made two appearances but injury forced his retirement from the game.
