Rolland V. Heiser

Lieutenant general Rolland Valentine Heiser (25 April 1925 – 16 June 2016), was a United States Army officer who served in the Vietnam War.

Heiser graduated from Western Military Academy in Alton, Illinois in 1943 and served as an enlisted man in the United States Army from 1943 to 1944.

He then served as Director of Plans, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations.

[3] He served as the Chief of Staff of United States European Command until his retirement on 1 October 1978.

He was instrumental in raising over $25 million in funds for the college and restoring its financial health.
