He received a bronze medal at the 2021 Summer World University Games and a silver at the 2023 European Athletics U23 Championships.

Petruk won the bronze medal at the 2019 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival,[1] reaching 2.10 meters.

[1] In August, he won silver medal at the 2023 European Athletics U20 Championships, where he reached 2.19 meters, sharing the runner-up spot with compatriot Oleh Doroshchuk on count-back.
