Romulus, Alabama

Romulus is an unincorporated community in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, United States.

[3] During the American Civil War, Romulus was the site of a skirmish between Union forces under the command of Col. John T. Croxton and Confederate forces under the command of Brigadier-General William Wirt Adams.

Croxton was leaving Northport after being dispatched from Brig-Gen. James H. Wilson's larger force after burning the University of Alabama on April 4, 1865.

Adams was attempting to rendezvous with Lt. Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest in Marion when he learned that Croxton was in the area.
