Ron Lapointe

Ron Lapointe (November 12, 1949 – March 23, 1992) was a Canadian ice hockey coach.

He was a product of the junior league QMJHL and served as a head coach of the Shawinigan Cataractes.

[1] He was named interim head coach of the Quebec Nordiques halfway through the 1987–88 NHL season.

Lapointe then spent two seasons as the coach of the minor league Milwaukee Admirals before health problems forced him to resign.

The Ron Lapointe Trophy is named in his honour, and awarded to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Coach of the Year.
