Ron Tilsed

Ronald William Tilsed (born 6 August 1952) is an English former footballer and manager.

[1] Tilsed began his career with Bournemouth & Boscombe as an apprentice, making two appearances before moving to Chesterfield in 1972.

He spent time at South African club Rangers before emigrating to Australia.

[2][3] Tilsed was Canberra City's first ever signing and made his debut on their first game in the National Soccer League (NSL) on 4 April 1977.

[5] Tilsed was a member of the England national under-18 football team that won the 1971 UEFA European Under-18 Championship.
