After the season he announced he would be resigning his post at West Bloomfield High School to accept a job on the coaching staff for his alma mater, the University of Michigan.
Bellamy attended the University of Michigan from 1999 to 2002, where he played wide receiver and majored in sport management communications.
Bellamy coached safeties and wide receivers in his time at Michigan, where he led the team to a national championship in 2023.
