Rorer A. James

Rorer Abraham James (March 1, 1859 – August 6, 1921) was an early-20th-century American lawyer, newspaperman, and politician from Virginia.

As a politician, he served in the Virginia House, Senate, and briefly as United States Representative.

Nearly 20 years after leaving the Virginia Senate, James went as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention of 1920.

In addition to his political appointments, James also acted as head of the Virginia Military Institute board of trustees.

He died on August 6, 1921, in Danville, Virginia, and was interred in Green Hill Cemetery.
