Constructed out of concrete in a cow pasture known as "Bellows Field," the Heritage Building originally consisted of 15 classrooms, a gymnasium and an auditorium.

As per Oregon law, Roseburg High School and the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians have had an agreement to use the mascot since 2017.
