Roy McLennan

Roy Alexander McLennan MBE (30 October 1924 – 18 September 2013) was a New Zealand local-body politician.

McLennan married Noelene Clark in 1948 and had two sons and a daughter.

During his term as mayor a reclamation was proposed for residential purposes at Nelson Haven.

[3] In the 1993 New Year Honours, McLennan was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire, for services to local-body and community affairs.

[4] In 2008, McLennan cut the cake with a sword in celebration of Nelson's 150th anniversary of becoming a city.
