Ruben Amar (born in 1974[1]) is a French screenwriter, director and producer.
Amar attended business school and spent time working for startups and television production companies,[2] then decided to pursue cinema and attended filmmaking workshops in London.
Between 2007 and 2011, he directed several short films,[3] shot in Paris, London, New York and on the Israeli-Palestinian border.
[6] The film tells the story of a young Palestinian boy living in the Gaza Strip who accompanies his father on monthly visits to the ruins of a destroyed village.
