Rural Reconstruction Nepal

With the passage of time, RRN has been able to expand itself into one of the fast-growing NGOs in the country together with its diverse development programmes covering the vast geographical area and the population.

Since its inception, RRN has been working with the poor and marginalised people in rural Nepal to facilitate them in the process of meeting their basic needs, improving livelihoods and building their own institutions.

RRN implements integrated community development programmes and projects on sustainable rural livelihoods, sustainable agriculture, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), child and adult education, biodiversity conservation, disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change, community infrastructure development and support to local governments for governance strengthening and service delivery.

Besides implementing integrated community development programmes at the grassroots, it is also engaged in advocacy, lobbying and networking at local, national and international levels for the cause of protecting and promoting human rights and social justice.

In the post-conflict context of Nepal, RRN has positioned itself to facilitate in conflict transformation initiatives by adopting the approach that strongly focuses on institutionalising democracy and peace-building through reconstruction, rehabilitation and reconciliation - RRR process.
