Zeinab Sade Elhawary[1] is an American politician and community organizer, who is the California State Assemblymember for the 57th district.

A member of the Democratic Party, Elhawary previously worked as an educator and for Mayor Karen Bass.

[2] Elhawary was born in Los Angeles to immigrant parents.

[3] She received her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and her master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

[4] Elhawary is a foster mother and resides in South Los Angeles.
