There is a new system of demerit points, used in combination with the school's long-standing[23] policy of corporal punishment in the form of caning on the palm of the hand or on the buttocks over clothing.

[24] A Saint Andrew's student caught bringing pornography to school would be caned either in public or in class, depending on the seriousness of the case.
