Salmon Creek is an unincorporated community settlement and census-designated place (CDP) in Sonoma County, California, U.S.

It is located on the Pacific coast about 90 minutes drive north of San Francisco, between the towns of Jenner and Bodega Bay, California.

[3] In 1812, the Russian-American Company established Fort Ross about 12 miles (19 km) northwest of present-day Salmon Creek, bringing the area into the Russian Empire's sphere of influence.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP covers an area of 1.1 square miles (2.9 km2), all of it land.

There were 116 housing units at an average density of 104.1 per square mile (40.2/km2), of which 75.6% were owner-occupied and 24.4% were occupied by renters.

[6] However, that ZIP code also includes the town of Bodega Bay, California and rural areas.
