Saltia papposa

Genus synonymy Species synonymy Saltia is a monotypic genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Amaranthaceae.

It is native to Saudi Arabia and Yemen,[3][4] in the Arabian Peninsula.

[6] The genus name of Saltia is in honour of Henry Salt (1780–1827), an English artist, traveller, collector of antiquities, diplomat, and Egyptologist.

[7] The Latin specific epithet of papposa refers to pappus the wind-dispersal mechanism for the seeds.
