Samedan (German pronunciation: [sɐˈmeːdən], locally [saˈmedən]ⓘ) is a town and municipality in the Maloja Region in the Swiss canton of Grisons.

Due to increasing trade with the outside world, Romansh usage began to decline in the 19th century.
