Samuel Murphey Bason (December 3, 1894 – January 15, 1986) was an American politician.
He served as a Democratic member for the 15th district of the North Carolina Senate.
He attended Burlington High School, Oak Ridge Military Academy and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

[1] Bason died in January 1986 at the Roman Eagle Memorial Home in Danville, Virginia, at the age of 91.
