Sangeen Darwaza

Sangeen Darwaza (Urdu pronunciation: [səŋɡiːn d̪əɾʋɑːzɑː] ; Kashmiri pronunciation: [sə̃ɡiːn d̪arʋaːzɨ]) is a historic gateway located in old city of Srinagar, built in 16th century by Mughal emperor Akbar.

[1][2][3] Sangeen Darwaza, Kathi Darwaza and a citadel (Hari Parbat Fort) were built by the Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century CE.

The rampart of the citadel covers an area of 5 km in circumference.
