Sarah Doucette (/duːˈsɛt/ ⓘ doo-SET) is a Canadian politician, who served on Toronto City Council from 2010 to 2018.
In the 2010 city council election, Doucette defeated Bill Saundercook in Ward 13, Parkdale–High Park.
[1] Doucette was born in Winchester, Hampshire but grew up on the Isle of Wight, in the United Kingdom in the 1960s.
Both her grandfather and her mother were city councillors and were then elected as mayors: he, in Winchester in 1953, and she in the county of the Isle of Wight, during the 1990s.
[2] Doucette supported Peggy Nash in her bid to become leader of the New Democratic Party of Canada.
