Sarbani Basu

[1] She won the 1996 M. K. Vainu Bappu Gold Medal from the Astronomical Society of India.

[2] In 1997 she joined Princeton University as a member of the Institute for Advanced Study.

[5][6] By monitoring helioseismic inversions Basu determines what processes take place inside the sun.

[13] In 2017 she published "Asteroseismic Data Analysis Foundations and Techniques" with William Chaplin.

[14] She won the American Astronomical Society's George Ellery Hale Prize in 2018 for her contributions to our understanding of the internal structure of the Sun.
