Schlaiten is a municipality in the district of Lienz in the Austrian state of Tyrol.

Its name is most likely of Slavonic origin, deriving from *slatina, which means swamp.

The municipality consists of the following neighbourhoods: Plone, Gonzach, Mesnerdorf, Bacherdorf, Gantschach and Göriach.
