It is 350 metres (1,150 ft) walk away from South Tottenham station on the Suffragette line of the Overground, forming an official out-of-station interchange.

The new London Overground line names and colours were introduced across the London rail network in November 2024 The station was constructed by the Great Eastern Railway (GER) on its Stoke Newington & Edmonton Railway line and opened on 22 July 1872.
