Shadow of Fear is a 1964 British second feature ('B')[1] film directed by Ernest Morris and starring Paul Maxwell, Clare Owen and Anita West.

Waiting in a Baghdad hotel for his flight to London, Bill Martin is asked by British Intelligence agent Jack Carter to deliver a secret message to his superior Mr. Oliver.

Paul Maxwell is a personable hero, as Bill, and Clare Owen has a charming sangfroid, as Barbara, while John Arnatt makes a politely ruthless villain.

There is an immense amount of talk bur the cast is more than competent and Morris keeps the intricate plot moving reasonably smartly.
