Shafiqul Alam is a Bangladeshi journalist who currently serves as the press secretary to the chief adviser of the interim government of Bangladesh, Muhammad Yunus.
[1][4] Shafiqul Alam began his career in the field of sports journalism, where he spent seven and a half years working with The Bangladesh Observer.
He then transitioned to business journalism, joining The Financial Express for two and a half years.
During his two-decade tenure at AFP, he served as a correspondent for the first seven years before being promoted to the position of bureau chief for Bangladesh in 2012, a role he held until his appointment as press secretary.
