CTRC planned and designed the structural and drainage systems of the Madina Garden City near Sylhet International Airport, including EIA, and recently has been working for Gazi Burhan Uddin Model City near Sylhet upashahar.

The students called for an all-out demonstration against the VC but the fascist Awami League Government backed the VC with a sudden tour by the Education Minister[52] Dipu Moni and some fake commitments by Professor Dr. Muhammed Zafar Iqbal, a former popular teacher of this university whom the students believed.
[53] The students identified the fraud at that time and finally banned Professor Dr. Muhammed Zafar Iqbal from the SUST campus during his controversial move again during the anti-discrimination movement against the Hasina regime.
