Shanghai Dianji University

Shanghai Dianji University (SDJU), founded in 1953, stands as a distinguished public institution of higher education.

Its core mission revolves around advanced manufacturing and modern service industries, with engineering as its primary focus, complemented by the development of other disciplines encompassing economics, management, literature, art, and science.

The university hosts a diverse community of over 13,000 full-time students, including those pursuing postgraduate, undergraduate, and junior college programs.

These include five postgraduate programs in the fields of energy power, international business, electronic information, machinery, materials, and the chemical industry.

In 1985, Shanghai Municipality submitted it to the National Education Commission of China for approval and established a five-year technical college on a trial basis.

In 1987, the Shanghai City Mechanical and Electrical First Bureau Workers College Minhang Branch (上海市机电一局职业大学闵行分部) was merged into the school.
