Sherri Ybarra is an American politician and educator who served as superintendent of public instruction of Idaho.
[1][2][3] Ybarra worked as a teacher and a high school principal in Mountain Home, Idaho area before becoming superintendent.
[5] In the 2014 election, Ybarra defeated John R. Eynon, Andrew Grover, and Randy Jensen, earning 28.7% of the vote in the Republican primary.
[6] Ybarra defeated former chief deputy superintendent of public instruction Jana Jones, earning 50.6% of the vote, in the general election.
[10] In 2018, Ybarra defeated Cindy Wilson, former Capital High School teacher, in the general election with 51.4% of the vote.
