Shigatse Mosque (simplified Chinese: 日喀则清真寺; traditional Chinese: 日喀則清真寺; pinyin: Rìkāzé Qīngzhēnsì), located in Samzhubzê, Xigazê, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region, is an Islamic mosque.
From the 14th century, a group of Muslim immigrants from present-day Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Kashmir and other countries and regions, as well as China's Ningxia, Gansu, Qinghai and other places, one after another in Shigatse settlement.
[3] In the Qianlong period, the Qing government decided to station troops in Jiangzi, Shigatse, part of the army from Sichuan, Shaanxi area of Muslims stationed in Shigatse, formed a small Muslim settlement and repaired the mosque.
[4] Shigatse Mosque is a Tibetan-style flat-roofed buildings, sitting west to east, with a floor area of 320 square meters.
The temple is listed as a Cultural Relics Protection Unit in Shigatse.
