Sidney Harmon

Harmon was nominated for the 1942 Academy Award for Best Story for the movie The Talk of the Town.

Harmon produced Sidney Kingsley's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Men In White.

[1] Born in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1907,[2] Harmon produced Broadway plays throughout the 1930s (1931-1937).

In 1959, he co-founded the Theatre Group at the University of California at Los Angeles with John Houseman and Robert Ryan.

[8] The Desert Theatre League's Sidney Harmon Award honored members "in recognition of the advancement of theatrical excellence both on and off the stage".
