Soussan borrowed the copy from DePierro and bootlegged it before selling it to Les McCutcheon, future manager of the band Shakatak.
[citation needed] Relocating to Los Angeles in the mid-1970s, Soussan spent hours on end in many record shops seeking those with the right sound for Northern soul.
