Sinfonietta Rīga

Sinfonietta Rīga is a state chamber orchestra in Latvia founded in 2006.

[1] Consisting of young students, the orchestra is influenced by Western and Eastern culture.

[1] Arvo Pärt's works were presented by the ensemble at the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg.

[2] Since 2006, Normunds Šnē has been artistic director, Paavo Järvi has been guest conductor.

[4] Important are collaborations with Jörg Widmann,[5] Christian Lindberg[6] and Martin Grubinger.
