Sir Frederick Thorpe Mappin, 1st Baronet (16 May 1821 – 19 March 1910) was an English factory owner and Liberal politician.
In 1851, he became the youngest ever Master Cutler, but after a dispute with his younger brother, he left the firm, which later became part of Mappin and Webb.
Mappin then bought a steelworks and implemented machine working, despite a strike by employees.
In 1865 Mappin moved into Thornbury, a new country house he had built in Ranmoor, now a Sheffield suburb.
In 1877 Mappin built the Highfield Cocoa and Coffee House to provide non-alcoholic entertainment to the city's working class.
