Sir John Norton, 3rd Baronet

Sir John Norton, 3rd Baronet (1620 – 9 January 1687) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1661 and 1687.

[1] Norton was the son of Sir Richard Norton, 1st Baronet and his wife Amy Bilson, daughter of Thomas Bilson, Bishop of Winchester.

He matriculated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford on 23 June 1637, aged 17.

During the CIvil War, he and his father supported the King and suffered accordingly.

[2] Norton died at the age of 67 and was buried at East Tisted, when the Baronetcy became extinct.
