Sir Robert Abdy, 3rd Baronet

Sir Robert Abdy, 3rd Baronet FSA (8 April 1688 – 27 August 1748), of Albyns, Essex, was a British Tory politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1727 to 1748.

[1] Abdy matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford, on 4 August 1705.

[1] At the 1727 British general election Abdy was returned unopposed as Tory Member of Parliament (MP) for Essex.

[3] Abdy was further a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London (FSA).

[2] Abdy died on 27 August 1748 aged 60 and was buried in Stapleford Abbotts in Essex.
