The 6th federal electoral district of Hidalgo (Distrito electoral federal 06 de Hidalgo) is one of the 300 electoral districts into which Mexico is divided for elections to the federal Chamber of Deputies and one of the seven currently operational districts in the state of Hidalgo.
[1] It elects one deputy to the lower house of Congress for each three-year legislative period by means of the first-past-the-post system.
As of 2024, votes cast in the district also count towards the calculation of proportional representation ("plurinominal") deputies elected from the fourth electoral region.
Under the National Electoral Institute's 2022 districting plan, the 6th district covers a central portion of Hidalgo that includes the municipality of Pachuca and the municipalities of San Agustín Tlaxiaca, Ajacuba, Francisco I. Madero and Tlahuelilpan to the west.
Its head town (cabecera distrital), where results from individual polling stations are gathered together and talled, is the state capital, Pachuca de Soto.
