Slavko Brezoski

Slavko Brezoski (Macedonian: Славко Брезоски; 10 June 1922 – 7 March 2017) was a Macedonian architect, urban planner, painter, writer and educator known for his works in the genre of modern architecture realised during the middle of the 20th century in modern-day North Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Brazil and Libya.

Upon completing studies, he returned to Skopje and became a member of the art collective 'Denes' alongside Janko Konstantinov and Risto Šekerinski.

Following the 1963 Skopje earthquake he returned to join the planning and rebuilding of the city and worked for the design company "Makedonija Proekt" from 1963 to 1966.

Designed a style of modernism based on interest in human architecture that shapes a positive society and a belief in progress, or moving forward.

[1] Building characteristics are clean and minimal lines, use of glass to enhance natural light to the interiors, open and well defined floor spaces, well combined modern and traditional materials and sensitive relationship to the environment.
