Smita Agarwal (born 1958) is an Indian poet and a professor of English literature at the University of Allahabad, India.

Smita Agarwal's poetry has appeared in journals and anthologies.

Agarwal's doctoral studies were on American poet, novelist and short story writer, Sylvia Plath.
