The Society of Certified Criminal Analysts (SCCA) is a professional body established to promote professionalism and high standards in analysis by establishing standards and testing and by certifying analysts.
Members tend to be among the more experienced and educated analysts and frequently hold higher classifications in their respective organizations.
Some agencies encourage SCCA certification for analysts seeking promotion or employment.
Certified analysts are required to undergo a re-certification process every three years to validate currency of competence.
In 2006 the SCCA was merged into the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts.
