South Lakes is a census-designated place (CDP) in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska, United States.
It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census, after the split of the former CDP of Lakes.

South Lakes is located east of Wasilla and west of Palmer; the CDP name refers to a chain of lakes forming the northern edge of the community.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the South Lakes CDP has a total area of 8.3 square miles (21.4 km2), of which 7.8 square miles (20.2 km2) are land and 0.46 square miles (1.2 km2), or 5.72%, are water.
