Leiolopisma notosaurus Patterson & Daugherty, 1990 The southern skink (Oligosoma notosaurus) is a species of skink in the family Scincidae.
It has been recorded at altitudes between sea level and 700 m.[1] As of 2012 the Department of Conservation (DOC) classified the southern skink as Not Threatened under the New Zealand Threat Classification System.
[3] It is one of the most common lizard species in the Stewart Island archipelago.
