Spa Springs

Spa Springs is a community in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, located in Annapolis County.

[2] The Spa Springs Hotel opened in 1831 and in August that year a vessel brought visitors from Maine.

This prompted the owner to build a bottling plant to manufacture ginger ale and other aerated drinks.

[9] The hotel register, now in the care of the Nova Scotia Archives,[10] lists many notable guests including Samuel Cunard, Robert Borden, Joseph Howe and Prince George of Wales.

[12] The plant was purchased and renovated in 2009 and now operates as Spa Springs Mineral Water Company.
