[4] According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.6 square miles (94.8 km2), all land.

At the 2000 census,[1] there were 124 people, 55 households and 31 families residing in the township.

31.9% were of Polish, 20.4% Finnish, 15.0% German and 11.5% American ancestry according to 2000 United States Census.

41.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 25.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

There were 16.7% of families and 17.3% of the population living below the poverty line, including 25.0% of under eighteens and 30.8% of those over 64.
